5 Boredom-Busting DIY Toys For Your Dog
Does your pup get bored? Perhaps they wonder around the house looking for things to do, and can't sit still.
Dogs can get tired of the same old, same old—which is why it’s important to keep them busy with fun toys, puzzles and more! DIY toys are a great way to keep things exciting for your dog. Making your own toys for example, can be an eco-conscious way of doing good for your pup and the planet, it's especially great for dog's who are just going to destroy the toys they get, or drop them in their water bowl.
A quick word about DIYing dog toys: Be sure to supervise the dog during play, and not to use any materials that a dog could cut themselves on or choke on.

T-Shirt Rope Toy
Have some old t-shirts piling up in your house that you have no use for anymore. We have a great easy DIY toy you can make for your pup.
Making a rope toy out of t-shirts looks super fun. I haven't tried this yet but definitely plan to.

DIY Agility Jump
Okay, this agility jump from Gone to the Snow Dogs looks so entertaining I plan to try this with my pup. I think my dog would enjoy this a lot. You’ll need to be a little handy (and use the proper equipment), but this could be fun for years to come!
Soda Bottle Treat Dispenser
Save those 2-liter bottles and turn them into a treat dispenser. Daily Dog Tag has instructions for a fun dispenser that can be very entertaining for your dog.
Muffin Tin Game
I am so excited to give this game a try with my pup. Grab a muffin tin, tennis balls and your dog’s favorite treats! Randomly add treats and cover them with tennis balls. Your dog will need to sniff and paw out their reward! This is great for enrichment, mental stimulation, bonding time, and giving your dog a nose workout.
Toilet Paper or Paper Towel Roll Treat Dispensers
Fill an empty toilet paper roll with treats. Fold down the ends. Cut a hole or two in the roll that’s big enough for the treat to fall out of. This is such a simple toy to make for your pup and they are sure to get louds of fun out of it, that you will want to do this everytime you have an empty roll.
Your dog is sure to have a active time playing.
Some signs of apparent boredom, like lethargy and lack of appetite, could be a sign of anxiety or an unseen health issue. If your pup acts disinterested, or doesn’t perk up when invited to play, it’s time to check with your veterinarian.
