Domestic Violence
This month we are supporting Detroit Pit Crew. Today we were contacted by a resident of Detroit who reported that his family member had been the victim of domestic violence and her ex-partner had broken into her house and tried to poison her 8 week old puppy with bleach. DPD was called and the perpetrator was arrested for breaking and entering however the residents were fearful for the wellbeing of the puppy. The puppy is now safe with us, however for those that are not aware there is a very strong correlation between animal abusers and domestic violence. To hurt someone's pet in order to victimize them is NOT OKAY!
