I'm Hoku and this isn't really something to brag about but I've been here eight months! Thankfully I've been in several foster homes but there comes a time for a permanent home and now is that time. I'm not getting any younger (but who is?)! My current foster mom says I'm a great companion for someone who wants a slower speed, chill dog. I love to be near my people, she says I'm very agreeable, content to just hang out on the lanai, I like to go on slow walks and explore every ‘message' left by other dogs, I think carrots are cookies, and I express my affection by giving you kisses and licking your hand. I'm housebroken, I know sit and paw, I love belly rubs, napping on the bed/couch/carpet (not picky!), going to the beach and I like to play a game where I pretend to want to come inside and only when you say bye-bye will I budge. So give an old gal a chance? Remember second-hand dogs make first-class pets!
